Replace the stubby plastic OEM bolt release with the Hellion Enhanced Bolt Release. Made from 6061 aluminum with a milspec black anodizing, it has twice the height and twice the surface area of the OEM part to give you positive operation and also protect the magazine release from accidental operation.

The larger release makes speed reloading faster. Once the mag is seated, it’s just a quick slap back with the thumb and your back in business. Combine this with the mag well flare and enhanced mag release and you VHS-2 is ready for tactical deployment.

The MA enhanced bolt release remedied the #2 gripe I had with the Hellion. The taller tab is much easier to engage after reloading magazines. I liked that MA decided to manufacture the bolt release from aluminum and not polymer as well.
